Aquahawks openings: The Aquahawks are always accepting new members. The Aquahawks are a year-round USA Swimming-sponsored competitive swim team. Dr. Bob Run: The fifth annual Dr. Bob Run will be held in conjunction with KU Family Weekend at 7:30 a.m. on Sept. 20 at Rim Rock Farm, just north of Lawrence. All proceeds from the event support the Dr. Bob Frederick Scholarship Program, which is a scholarship program designated to support both graduate and undergraduate students studying Sport Management through the Health, Sport, & Exercise Sciences Department within the KU School of Education. Participants are encouraged to register for either an individual 5K or 8K event, or create a team for the 8K Team Challenge. FSHS junior cheer: Receive chant, cheer and dance instruction and perform at a Free State High football game. Open to all children pre-school through sixth grade.
