Eudora falls to Louisburg

? The Eudora High football team jumped out to a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, but could not hold on, falling to Louisburg, 14-7, on Friday.

Grant Elston accounted for all of the Cardinals’ points, finding the end zone on a 19-yard touchdown run and staying on to convert the point-after attempt.

Cole Kramer gave Louisburg a nine-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, and Alex Dunn sealed the win for the Wildcats when he punched it in from a yard out in the fourth. Dunn also made both extra points.

Although Eudora coach Jason Tharp was discouraged with the final result, he did see some positives to take away from the loss.

“It was a good defensive game,” Tharp said.

The Cardinals, 1-1, will host Paola at 7 p.m. Friday.
