Top prospects to attend Late Night as a group

Kansas University basketball recruiting.

In an interesting recruiting twist, Class of 2015 blue-chip prospects Stephen Zimmerman, Jaylen Brown, Carlton Bragg and Brandon Ingram will visit both Kansas University and Kentucky as a Fab Four group.

They’ll be in Lawrence for the Oct. 10 Late Night in the Phog and Lexington, Kentucky, for the Oct. 17 Big Blue Madness.

“It just happens to be the Midnight Madness stuff at both schools, and that is usually the best time for recruits to visit and when coaches want players to see all the fun they have and when they want us to come,” Zimmerman, a 7-foot senior from Bishop Gorman High in Las Vegas, told centralkynews.com. “It is still kind of like every man for himself, but at the end of the day you have friends and people you can trust, and some players do package deals and stuff.

“You can make it fun to interact or just do what you want to do for yourself. Both work.”

Zimmerman, Rivals.com’s No. 10-rated player who also has set up visits to North Carolina, UCLA and Arizona, said he expects it’ll be tough to pick a school.

“If I like more than one school at the end, I will sit down with my parents and go over each one of them, Zimmerman told the website. “I am a senior now and will be leaving for college soon. I have to look at who will be there when I get to school and playing styles and stuff like that. I have to really get in depth if I don’t just get that natural feel at one school, because at this time I have interest in all the schools.”
