Today in Lawrence: Gorgeous weather in store for Pooch Plunge; visit the LAC
Back to reality
Today will strive to make up for rain on Monday, just in time for everyone to go back to work and school! Today’s high of 89 will be complemented by clear, sunny skies, with no rain in the forecast. The nighttime will also be mostly clear, with a low of 68.
Lap dogs
The Lawrence Parks and Recreation Department closes its pool season by letting the dogs take a dip at this year’s Pooch Plunge. The pool goes to the dogs from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Lawrence Outdoor Aquatic Center, 727 Kentucky St. The fee for the event is $5 per dog. Registration will be available at the door, and spectators are admitted for free.
Lifetime of art
