Overland Park ? Lawrence High opened its volleyball season Tuesday with a 25-22, 25-11, 25-11 loss to Blue Valley Northwest.

Among the leaders for the Lions were Caroline Dykes with seven kills, Keeli Billings with four kills, Nicolasa Kenney with 10 digs, Kyleigh Severa with nine assists and Marlee Bird with four service aces and three assists.
