KPR took home first place for public affairs program; first place and honorable mention for spot news; second place for complete news feature/enterprise; second place for editorial/commentary; and honorable mention for station website.

• The KU Small Business Development Center will host a free seminar titled “Affordable Care Act, Insurance and Your Small Business,” from 11:30 am. to 1 p.m. Wednesday. • Capitol Federal’s location at 11th and Vermont streets in Lawrence will not have a drive-up teller window available for about two weeks because of building remodeling, according to a news release. Drivers can still use the drive-up ATMs across the street at 1045 Vermont St.

• Sunflower Outdoor & Bike Shop, 804 Massachusetts St., has been included on a list of the best bike shops in the United States by the National Bicycle Dealers Association. Fewer than 300 stores are on the list, including five from Kansas.

• Two officers from the Lawrence-Douglas County Fire-Medical Department have received international professional designations. Division Chief Doug Green is now designated as a “Chief Fire Officer.” Capt. Ben Dennis is now designated as a “Fire Officer.” The titles were handed down by the Commission of Professional Credentialing.
