• The Kansas Association of Broadcasters recognized Great Plains Media four times in the Medium Market Radio category. Programs from Great Plains took home two first-place awards, one second-place and one honorable mention. Great Plains operates on Lawrence radio stations KLWN-AM 1320, 105.9 Kiss FM and 92.9 The Bull.

• The Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association will host its final seminar of the 2014 “Healthy, Wealthy and Wise” series at 4 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive. “End-of-Life Decisions: Understanding DNRs, Living Wills and Other Advance Directives for Medical Care” is for professionals and the public. • Amer Hauder, marketing coordinator at Peoples Bank, was awarded the Certified Financial Marketing Professional designation from the Institute of Certified Bankers, a subsidiary of the American Bankers Association. Hauder is a graduate of Baker University and worked at Peoples Bank since 2009.

• Sunflower Bank announced the addition of Craig Lane as a mortgage loan originator. With 31 years of experience in the financial industry, Lane last served as a branch manager for Gateway Funding.

• The Lawrence Chamber of commerce has announced seven new members to its organization: Acorn Adventure Agency, Fine Design Studio, Au Marche, Personalized Brokerage Services, Don Johnston, Jade Garden and J&S Coffee.

• The Jayhawk Chapter of the Society for Human Resource Management will host a seminar called “Documenting Workplace Investigations: An Innovative Approach to Addressing Harassment Complaints and Reducing Workplace Conflict.” Kathy Perkins will present the seminar at 11:15 a.m. Nov. 11 at Pachamama’s, 800 New Hampshire St. To register and find more details, visit JayhawkSHRM.org.

• Stephens Real Estate announced the addition of Stacy Molton as the new administrative assistant for its Baldwin City office. Molton has been an area resident for 24 years.

• Out of a class of 39 members, three Lawrencians completed the 2014 Leadership Kansas Class earlier in October. They are: Lee Beth Dever, Christine Ladner and Joshua Ney. The program aims to develop future leaders in Kansas.
