Korean BBQ Short Rib Tacos at Quinton's Bar & Deli, 615 Massachusetts St.

What started as a temporary addition to the menu has now earned a permanent spot at Quinton’s Bar & Deli. The Korean BBQ Short Rib Tacos, a creation of owner Steve Gaudreau inspired by a cross-country food-truck tour, debuted on Quinton’s revamped menu last week and received so much praise from customers that staffers decided to let the tacos stay for good.

The star of the tacos (the order comes with three) is the short rib, tender nuggets of beef coated in a sweet, savory Korean barbecue sauce. It’s topped with an Asian slaw (cabbage, carrots and pickled peppers), Sriracha-mayonnaise sauce and cilantro. The colorful mixture is served up in small flour tortillas.

Try it with: The sizable portion of tortilla chips and salsa that comes on the side.

Also on the menu: The revamped roster still focuses mainly on sandwiches and soups (including the much-touted bread bowls). Along with the new monthly food-truck specials, Quinton’s is now serving a Spicy Hot Hawaiian Sausage Sandwich.
