Douglas County cancels Silver Alert after missing woman found

The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office has canceled a Silver Alert for Gail Helen Coppersmith, 63, of Georgetown, Texas, who left a Douglas County residence early Tuesday morning.
The Sheriff’s Office announced that Coppersmith, who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s disease, was found safe at a McDonald’s in Bonner Springs. Authorities were searching for her after she left a Douglas County home around 3 a.m. Tuesday and indicated she wanted to travel to her home in Texas.
