Letter: Facility needed
To the editor:
We need new police space to deal with the size of the city and the changes in police work (computers, etc.). We need to have decent space to attract the quality of officers that we hope to have in our city.
I’m not happy with every decision made in the process, but to go back to the beginning to possibly improve small aspects of the building would waste far more money than we could save.
Also, unlike the recreation center, this project will be subject to normal bidding procedures. We should be able to track what’s going on and where the money’s going.
In a democracy, we never get everything we want. I hope you will join me in voting “yes” for public safety.
