A female KU student was taken to Lawrence Memorial Hospital with a leg injury after being struck by a vehicle on the Kansas University campus just before 4 p.m. Wednesday, KU Police spokesman Capt. James Anguiano said.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Sunnyside Avenue and Naismith Drive. The student was struck by a northbound vehicle while walking westbound in a crosswalk, Anguiano said. The intersection has stop signs on all sides.

The driver was questioned Wednesday afternoon, Anguiano said. No further details were immediately available.
