The seniors on the Lawrence High volleyball team had a night to remember as the Lions defeated Leavenworth and Shawnee Mission North Tuesday for Senior Night.

The Lions upended Leavenworth and Shawnee Mission North in straight sets, defeating the Pioneers, 26-24, 25-17 and the Indians, 25-11, 25-8.

“It was our Senior Night, and we got to honor some pretty special girls,” LHS coach Stephanie Magnuson said.

Keeli Billings posted double figures in kills and digs with 10 and 19. Caroline Dykes and Jensen Edwards tallied 12 and eight kills, respectively, while Marlee Bird and Kyleigh Severa added 23 and 12 assists apiece.

LHS (9-11) will host the Joan Wells Invitational on Saturday.
