Kansas University’s Jazz Ensemble I and vocalist Deborah Brown will host an evening of big-band jazz Dec. 1 at the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts in Kansas City, Mo.

The 7:30 p.m. performance is sponsored by Reach Out Kansas, Inc. In addition to arrangements featuring jazz vocalist Brown, the 19-person ensemble will present the world premiere of Ensemble Director Dan Gailey’s composition “New Kansas City Suite.”
