Renowned hip-hop dancer to teach public classes at KU this week

Renowned hip-hop dancer Rodney Hill will teach a series of master dance classes at Kansas University this week as part of a partnership between the Lied Center of Kansas and KU’s department of dance.

Hill has been active in the hip-hop scene since 1988, and has performed with artists such as Mary J. Blige and The Roots at both national and global venues. He currently serves as company manager of Rennie Harris Puremovement and Rennie Harris R.H.A.W., which will perform Nov. 14 at the Lied Center, 1600 Stewart Drive.

The classes, which are open for the public to observe or participate, will be held this Monday through Wednesday at KU’s Robinson Center. A class schedule can be found online.
