Ashlie Koehn, a junior at Kansas University, was recently named the KU Newman Civic Fellow by Campus Compact. Koehn joins 196 other student leaders across the country who have demonstrated an investment in their community. Campus Compact is a national coalition of more than 1,100 college and university presidents who are committed to civic purposes of higher education.

Katy Ibsen has been promoted to executive editor of Sunflower Publishing. As executive editor Ibsen develops editorial direction for in-house and client products seen across the state of Kansas, provides strategic thinking on new and existing projects from creative and financial perspectives and oversees the daily operations of the editorial and creative teams to guide the success of Sunflower Publishing’s products. Sunflower Publishing is a print publishing company owned by The World Company, which owns the Journal-World.
