A 54-year-old Perry man was arrested in Lawrence Sunday on suspicion of recording video of a pre-teen girl getting undressed, according to police.

An officer went to a home in northwest Lawrence on Sunday afternoon after dispatch received a call about a juvenile possibly being the victim of a sexually related crime, said Lawrence Police Sgt. Trent McKinley.

Officers believe a man placed a camera in a bathroom inside the home and it picked up video of a girl getting undressed. The victim knew the suspect, but he was not related and did not live in the same home, McKinley said.

Officers seized the camera and interviewed the suspect. The Perry man was arrested on suspicion of two counts of sexual exploitation of a child under age 14 and two counts of breach of privacy.
