Kansas University Hospital on Sunday was unable to provide an update on the condition of a Colorado man who was airlifted from a one-vehicle accident at a Kansas Turnpike tollbooth early Saturday morning.

Roman Ilyaich, 25, of Aurora, Colo., was in critical condition after the tractor-trailer he was a passenger of crashed into the tollbooths on westbound Interstate 70 near Tonganoxie.

The driver, Sergiy Angelchev, 30, of Aurora, Colo., died at the scene of the crash, which occurred before 3 a.m.
