Ozark, Mo. ? An eight-run sixth inning helped propel Free State High to a 15-1 baseball victory against Ozark High School Friday.

Seven of the Firebirds’ 14 hits were doubles, with Casey Hearnen and Cooper Karlin recording two apiece. Cameron Pope led the Firebirds with five RBIs.

Free State starting pitcher Ryan Stagg went the distance, only allowing five hits while striking out two and walking none.

The Firebirds (3-0) will face Nixa High at 11:30 a.m. today in Nixa, Mo.
