Lecompton Community Pride to receive $2,500 donation
Members of the Lecompton Community Pride organization will receive a $2,500 donation from Monsanto in a ceremony at the historic Lecompton High School 10 a.m. Wednesday.
A representative from Monsanto will be onhand to present the award, which Lecompton mayor Sandy Jacquot said will be used to provide services and activities for the Lecompton area community.
Lecompton Community Pride is a participant in the Kansas PRIDE Program, a partnership between the Kansas Department of Commerce and Kansas State University Research and Extension.
The event will be held in the third-floor auditorium of Lecompton High School, located directly in front of Lecompton Territorial Capital Museum, 640 E. Woodson Ave.
