Lawrence police did not have any updates Tuesday on the investigation of additional suspects in connection to Saturday's homicide on Cedarwood Avenue.

Dustin D. Walker, 29 of Lawrence, was charged Monday with first-degree murder in connection to the shooting death of Patrick Roberts, 39. However, police are still seeking information on additional suspects.

"We know at least two people were present," said Sgt. Trent McKinley, a Lawrence Police Department spokesperson. "According to some accounts, there may have been more than two people, but the exact number of individuals who were present is not known by us."

Anyone with information is asked to call Lawrence Police at 830-7400 or the Douglas County CrimeStoppers at 843-TIPS (8477).

"We think there are some people out there who have some information, and we'd love to speak with those people," McKinley said.

A LPD police detective told someone I know that aggravated assault where someone is wounded by a gun or knife is up 400% in Lawrence. Hospitals and EMTs are now able to save more people from dying.
