The National Weather Service office in Topeka has canceled the severe thunderstorm watch for Douglas County. The watch was originally issued around 2 a.m. and was supposed to remain in effect until 9 a.m..

Just over 100 Westar Energy customers are without power in Douglas County. The majority of the outages are in North Lawrence, with a few others just south of Lawrence. Westar estimates that the North Lawrence outages will be restored by 7 a.m. and the outages south of Lawrence will be restored by 7:30 a.m..
