Today in Lawrence: Single-ticket sales deal at Lied Center, Sacred Singing at ECM
Cooler temperatures prevail
Forecasts don’t call for a hot day, but it will be humid and a few thunderstorms are expected. It might put a damper on your outdoor time, but Lawrence always offers plenty of indoor entertainment to keep you busy. Showers are expected again Tuesday morning, but then the weather should clear and you can shake off your cabin fever!
Single-ticket sales special
Kick off single-ticket sales at the Lied Center with a one-hour giveaway. From 8 to 9 a.m., you can get a pair of tickets to one of a handful of performances with your 2014-15 Lied Center ticket order. Ticket purchases are recommended at the Lied Center ticket office, 1600 Stewart Drive, but tickets can also be ordered online during that one-hour window and still earn you your free tickets.
Add your voice
Bring your song books, instruments and voices and join in Sacred Singing, 5:30-7 p.m. at the Interfaith Chapel at Ecumenical Campus Ministries, 1204 Oread Ave. The evening will include songs from various spiritual and secular traditions and will start with a short reading from a range of traditions.
