Voting underway for Toy Store’s Lego Contest

There are settings from “Star Wars,” scenes of horse show competitions, monsters, robots, food trucks and more. With its fourth annual Lego Contest well underway, the Toy Store is up to its neck in block-based constructions of peoples’ imaginations.

Anyone can stop by the store, at 936 Massachusetts St., and cast votes for each age group every day through Sunday. The store received over 260 entries this year, with builders ranging between the ages of 2 and 44, assistant manager Tyler Waugh said.

As of Tuesday, over 350 votes have already been counted.

The works of construction come in all sorts of sizes, depicting a wide variety of scenes, creatures and objects. But they all must be 32-by-16 inches and no taller than 24 inches.

Winners for each age group, who will take home another Lego set as a prize, will be announced next Monday morning, Waugh said.
