Two arrested in burglary, theft at Lawrence Subway

At least two people have been arrested in connection with the burglary of a Lawrence Subway restaurant earlier this month.

Sterling Joseph Ozark, 18, and Rachell Denise Redding, 22, both of Lawrence, were booked into Douglas County Jail on Wednesday and Thursday, respectively, each on suspicion of burglary and theft.

Lawrence Police Department spokesman Sgt. Trent McKinley said a suspect allegedly entered the Subway at 1800 W. 23rd St. on Jan. 16 with another person who used a key. A police report alleges that $425 and a coin changer valued at $50 were taken.

Police identified a third suspect and McKinley said three affidavits had been sent to the district attorney’s office. Ozark was released from jail Thursday on a $3,000 bond and Redding was given a $4,000 bond.
