Traffic lights installed at K-10, Sixth Street interchange

The Kansas Department of Transportation announced that as of Jan. 24, all traffic signals are now in place at the Kansas Highway 10 and Sixth Street interchange in west Lawrence.

On Feb. 6, weather permitting, traffic signals at the intersection of U.S. 40 and Sixth Street will be turned on to a flashing yellow mode, while lights will flash red for all K-10 traffic. The lights will flash for 48 hours prior to becoming fully operational.

Traffic signals were originally scheduled to be turned on during the week of Jan. 27-31.
