Pembroke sweeps Seabury

January 30, 2014

— Regan Zaremba scored a career-high 15 points, and Reilly Malone had 10 points and 10 rebounds, but it wasn’t enough to prevent Seabury Academy’s girls basketball team from falling to Pembroke Hill, 62-35, on Wednesday night.

Mariah Smith added five points and six assists, and Kayleigh Boos scored five points for the Seahawks.

“The girls were nervous taking on such a big team,” Seabury coach Keith Smith said, “but they played really hard, and their confidence improved throughout the game. We had a couple good strong runs against them. That helped, but they just had a deeper bench and bigger girls than we had. But I was very proud of their effort.”

Seabury (3-4) will host Topeka Heritage on Friday.
