Seabury girls defeat Midland

? Mariah Smith had 20 points, including five three-pointers, and Seabury Academy’s girls basketball team defeated Midland Adventist, 42-36, on Tuesday night.

Seabury, 3-3, trailed by two entering the fourth quarter, but outscored Midland Adventist 16-8 in the final period.

“Midland played zone pretty much the whole game,” Seabury coach Keith Smith said. “We struggled until Mariah started hitting her outside shots.”

Reilly Malone also chipped in 12 points, and Regan Zaremba and Kayleigh Boos rounded out the scoring for Seabury with five points apiece.

The Seahawks have a quick turnaround as they will play Pembroke Hill today in Kansas City, Mo.
