• Kansas University’s School of Business will begin its spring lecture series with a presentation by the chairman, president and CEO of QuikTrip Corporation, Chet Cadieux. Cadieux will speak at 4 p.m. Jan. 29 at the Lied Center. The lecture is free and open to the public. QuikTrip is a regional gas and convenience store company based in Tulsa.

• The Lawrence Memorial Hospital Endowment Association will introduce its new board members and thank its outgoing members at 4:30 on Jan. 23. New board members are Becki Dick, Laverne Epp, Sarah Landers and Sabrina Prewitt. Departing members are Peach Madl, Jeff Morrison, Dick Orchard and Carla Phipps. The meeting will be held at Arterra Event Gallery, 2161 Quail Creek Drive.

• Callahan Creek, a Lawrence-based marketing agency, announced it will be a presenting partner of the Resilient Summit, a two-day conference about the rise of the new collaborative economy to be held Feb. 6-7 at Union Station in Kansas City, Mo. Companies throughout North America and Europe are expected to attend the conference.
