Thomas J. Alber died in the crash, which occurred at 6:50 a.m. at North 1800 Road just north of the turnpike. According to the KHP, Alber's vehicle was traveling eastbound on North 1800 Road when it crossed into the westbound left-turn lane and struck a 2010 GMC Acadia.
