Arts Center holding ‘Pinocchio’ auditions

It’s no lie: The Lawrence Arts Center will be holding auditions for its upcoming production of “Pinocchio” this week.

The auditions will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Arts Center, 940 New Hampshire St., with callbacks 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.

“Pinocchio,” directed by Ric Averill with choreography by Hanan Misko, is a fresh telling of the classic Italian tale that will feature both dramatic and dance roles and puppetry.

The production has roles available for student, community and professional actors and dancers ages 7 and up. Families are encouraged to audition together. Those auditioning should come prepared to present a monologue of 1 minute or less.

“Pinocchio” will run March 7-9 at the Arts Center.
