KU tennis wins sixth straight

? Kansas University’s women’s tennis team pushed its season-opening run to 6-0 with a 4-3 win over Houston on Friday. The Jayhawks are two wins away from having the best dual season start in Kansas tennis history.

After KU won the doubles point, Maria Belen Ludueña, Paulina Los and Claire Dreyer won singles matches to give KU the victory.

With the score tied 3-3, Los and Houston’s Tina Rupert battled it out for their respective team’s victory, but in the end, Rupert retired from the match during the super tiebreaker 2-6, 6-4 (3-1).

The Jayhawks return home to play UT-Arlington at noon Sunday.
