Lawrence Arts Center is closed and will reopen at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Tonight’s Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department’s “Project Strength” cooking class at United Way of Douglas County is canceled.

Tonight’s Douglas County breastfeeding support group meeting at the Lawrence-Douglas County Health Department is canceled.

All Douglas County Bank locations are closed.

Kansas Department for Children and Families offices and service centers are closed.

Douglas County Housing Authority offices will open at 10 a.m.

Bert Nash Community Mental Health Center will be closed.

Douglas County offices — will open at 1 p.m. This includes all county agencies located in the courthouse, the Judicial and Law Enforcement Center and the KSU Extension Office at the Fairgrounds. The Douglas County District Court and the District Attorney’s office will be closed all day. The county commission will meet at 3 p.m. as scheduled.

Lawrence City Hall will open at noon. A City Commission meeting will be held, for consent items only, at 5 p.m. Solid Waste is planning on running trash routes as scheduled.

City bus services — There will be a delay in the start of bus service. Both fixed route and T Lift service will begin at 9 a.m.

City of Lawrence Parks and Recreation facilities will open on at noon. Classes and programs for the day have been canceled. The Indoor Aquatic Center, 4706 Overland Drive, will open at noon for lap swimming. The leisure pool will open at 2:30 p.m. for public swimming. All recreation centers will open at noon for public open play and weight and cardio room use. All Parks and Recreation classes and programs today have been canceled. This includes all: nature center programming, recreation instruction classes, special populations programming, aquatic classes and youth and adult sports leagues.

The Social Media Club of Lawrence meeting is canceled and rescheduled to Feb. 19.

Kansas University classes are closed and only weather-essential staff should report to work. Lawrence and Edwards campuses are closed. Bus routes 27, 29, 30, 36, 38, 41, 42, 43, as well as SafeRide and SafeBus, will not operate Wednesday. Second and third shift facility workers should report to work Wednesday.

Lawrence Arts Center will close at 5 p.m. All classes and rehearsals are canceled.

Sunflower Bank will close at 1 p.m. and will open at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

Emprise Bank branches in Lawrence closed at 12:30 p.m. and will reopen at 10 a.m. Wednesday.

The Lawrence City Commission meeting is cancelled. City Commissioners will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 5 at 5 p.m. to hear items on the consent agenda only. Regular items postponed until Feb. 11 meeting.

Douglas County Bank will closing all branches at 12:30 p.m. today. All branches will have a delayed opening Wednesday at 10am.

All Lawrence Parks and Recreation programs scheduled prior to 1 p.m. on Tuesday have been canceled. A determination on holding afternoon and evening classes and programs will be made as the day progresses. All recreation centers and pools will open at 8 a.m. on Tuesday morning.

Lawrence Arts Center – daytime classes are canceled through 5 p.m. Lawrence Arts Center studios and galleries will be open throughout the day. Evening class cancellations will be announced by 1 p.m.

City of Lawrence solid waste crews will start picking up trash earlier on Tuesday morning and residents with Tuesday collection should set their trash cans out on Monday evening. If a trash pickup is missed during the early collection on Tuesday, call the Solid Waste Division at 832-3032.
