City manager at league lunch

The League of Women Voters welcome Lawrence City Manager David Corliss to its Brown Bag lecture. Corliss will address the topic “The State of the City.” There will be informal meet and greet at 11:30 a.m. followed by the presentation at noon at the Carnegie Building, 200 W. Ninth St. Bring you lunch and your questions for this opportunity to talk to a city leader.

Healthy fundraiser

Join Heartland Community Health Center for its fourth annual Fill Up. Pour Out. fundraiser. The program will include patient testimonials, presentations by Heartland staff and live music. Tickets are $65 and can be purchased online at heartland health.org/fupo14. Proceeds benefit Heartland Community Health Center.
