Vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in the 1500 block of Ninth Street
Lawrence police are working the scene of a vehicle vs. pedestrian accident in the 1500 block of Ninth Street.
According to Sgt. Ted Bordman of the Lawrence Police Department, around 8 p.m. an accident call was dispatched to police. Emergency response teams arrived on the scene of a single car vs. a single, male pedestrian said Justin Temple of Lawrence-Douglas County Medical. After assessing the pedestrian’s injuries, Temple said a call for Life Star was made and the victim was flown to KU Med in Kansas City, Kan. Temple said the injuries sustained by the victim were critical.
