City wrestlers win divisions

? Two city high school wrestlers took first place in their respective weight classes at the Leavenworth Challenger on Saturday afternoon.

Lawrence High junior Alan Clothier, the defending Class 6A state champion at 182 pounds, won all four of his matches to take first place, and Free State High freshman Tate Steele also won all four his matches at the 106-pound weight class to finish in first.

Lawrence’s Tucker Wilson (160 pounds) and Cy Burghart (152), along with Free State’s Shayn Morris (113 pounds) added top-three placings.

Free State will travel to Topeka for a double dual at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, and the Lions will wrestle in a double dual at Blue Valley Southwest on Wednesday.
