Enrollment grows slightly at all state universities in Kansas

? The Kansas Board of Regents reported that enrollment grew slightly at all six state universities this semester. Only Washburn University, a municipal university in Topeka, saw a decline in enrollment.

The official enrollment numbers for each institution, as of the 20th day of class of the semester, include:

• Emporia State University, 6,114, an increase of 81 students, or 1.34 percent.

• Fort Hays State University, 13,825, an increase of 384 students, or 2.86 percent.

• Kansas State University, 24,766, an increase of 185 students, or 0.75 percent.

• Pittsburg State University, 7,479, an increase of 79 students, or 1.07 percent.

• Kansas University, Lawrence campus, 24,612, an increase of 177 students, or 0.72 percent.

• Kansas University Medical Center, 3,371, an increase of 22 students, or 0.66 percent.

• Wichita State University, 15,003, an increase of 453 students, or 3.11 percent.

• Washburn University, 7,939, a decrease of 196 students, or -2.41 percent.
