Winter is all about trying to stay warm and maintain our style.

We love warming up with beanies, sweaters, boots, hats, leggings — the list goes on. For this column, we’ve styled some looks that are easy to throw together and will keep you warm and stylish all season.

Cozy Leggings

Leggings are a staple in our winter wardrobe.

You can wear them with tunics, oversized sweaters and dresses. Sweater leggings are great to wear if you want to add some festive style to your look. They come in so many different prints, and they’re totally comfortable thanks to their knit construction.

If you’re wearing a printed sweater legging, go for a solid tunic sweater or sweater dress to balance out your look.

Boots and a beanie easily complete your winter-ready outfit. Same rule goes for solid-colored leggings; go for a printed top to keep the look streamlined.

Keeping it Casual

Casual looks are easy in the wintertime.

Sweaters are our go-to piece. A pair of skinny jeans styled with a sweater, ankle boots and a wool, wide-brim hat is the perfect winter look. Elizabeth is wearing a wrap-style sweater that can be worn as a cardigan or wrapped around the front. We love the draping on the sides to add some dimension to her look.

A wool hat is a huge trend this winter and is the perfect accessory to finish off your outfit this season.

Dressing It Up

Putting together dressy winter looks can be quite the challenge. Tights or no tights — that is the question! We think it’s totally acceptable to do either.

We tend to go with no tights, but it’s your personal preference. Elizabeth went with a chic lace number while I opted for a midi-length skirt and a turtleneck shirt tucked into the skirt. You could easily add a pair of black, solid tights to both of these outfits. You could also throw on a turtleneck shirt under Elizabeth’s lace dress to warm it up a bit.

Generally, we like to look for darker jewel tones, lace, sequins and bold prints when we’re dressing it up for winter.
