• Lawrence’s Arterra Event Gallery will host the Kansas City Chapter of Meeting Professionals International’s “Field 2 Table” event on Sept. 18. The KCMPI is a regional organization focusing on shaping the meeting and event industry.

• Kansas University announced employees of month for July: Larry Higgins and Natalie Parker. Higgins, an employee since the 1980s, looks after the plumbing and boiler operations. Parker, an employee since 2008, is the education program coordinator for the Center for Research on Global Change.

• The University National Bank announced the addition of Kevin Corbett, president and CEO of the Kansas University Alumni Association, to its board of directors. Corbett graduated from KU in 1988 with a degree in psychology.

• Lawrence-based Petefish, Immel, Heeb & Hird, LLP announced the addition of Jessica Ford and Amanda Wilwert. Ford will act as the new executive assistant and practice group administrator. Wilwert will take over as the government contracts associate.
