How to help: Volunteer opportunities

Agency: Lawrence Meals on Wheels

Contact: Kim Culliss at 830-8844 or at 4mealsonwheels@sbcglobal.net

Lawrence Meals on Wheels provides hot, nutritious meals to the homebound elderly and disabled residents of Lawrence. Route delivery drivers are needed to serve as either substitute or regular route drivers. Substitute drivers are desperately needed for the remainder of the month of August to make sure all of our clients are fed. Delivery is 11:15-12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday. Routes generally take less than an hour to deliver to six to eight homes. Regular route drivers are also needed for a weekly Friday route. This is a great opportunity for families with young children. This also works well for business folks who want to use their lunch hour to do something meaningful for others.
