Lied Center 2014-15 schedule includes Broadway hits, famous performers

The Vienna Boys Choir comes to the Lied Center Sunday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m.

The Lied Center announced its 2014-2015 season lineup Sunday, and it features hit Broadway shows, nationally renowned instrumentalists and iconic productions. Tickets are on sale to Friends of the Lied and students today and to the general public starting May 19.

The season’s highlights include “The Midtown Men,” with four stars from the original Broadway cast of “Jersey Boys!,” singing their favorite ’60s hits from The Beatles, The Rascals, Motown, The Four Seasons and others; multi-award-winning KU alumnus and Broadway star Mandy Patinkin in “Mandy Patinkin: Dress Casual”; and “Million Dollar Quartet,” the Tony Award?winning Broadway musical inspired by the famed recording session that brought together rock icons Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and Carl Perkins.

“It is our privilege to support KU and Lawrence by offering a diverse program of performances and engagement activities featuring world?class artists,” said Lied Center Director Derek Kwan.
