Kansas Golf Hall of Fame taps ex-KU coach Randall

Former Kansas University golf coach Ross Randall will be one of two inductees into the Kansas Golf Hall of Fame, the Kansas Golf Foundation announced Monday.

Randall coached the Kansas men’s team from 1980-2007 and served as the women’s coach from 1981-84. He guided seven KU teams to the NCAA Championships, including appearances in the NCAA Finals in 1989 and 1996, and took the Jayhawks to the NCAA Regionals 19 times. KU also won the Big 12 Championship in 1999 under Randall, a three-time conference Coach of the Year.

Randall and the other member of the Hall’s Class of 2014, standout amateur Fred Rowland, will be inducted in July at the Champions Dinner preceding the Kansas Amateur at Mission Hills Country Club.
