The Lawrence Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lawrence program will honor the 2014 Leadership Lawrence graduates from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Alvamar. Since 1982, the program has developed more than 700 leaders in the community, the organization said in a news release. In addition, the program will recognize Jean Milstead with the 2014 Wally Galluzzi Volunteer of the Year Award.

“Jean has been an important figure in the Chamber for many years,” Sue Hack, executive director of Leadership Lawrence, said. “In addition to holding two interim positions for both the Chamber and the EDC over the years, Jean has been an outstanding volunteer with the organization, including being an integral part of the Leadership Lawrence program. We are honored to be able to present her this award.”

McGrew Real Estate recently completed the conversion of its office on Kasold Drive to solar power. McGrew hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Cromwell Environmental Solar on April 11 to mark the event. Cromwell Environmental Solar is based in Lawrence.

Rueschhoff Locksmith & Security has hired Ed Hawkins as an account manager for residential and commercial sales in the security division and Mike Wagner as a technician in the security and fire division. Hawkins has worked in the audio video industry for more than 40 years. Wagner has more than 25 years experience in the audio video and automation industry.
