Olathe ? Bryce Montes de Oca, Daonte Lowery, Michael Sinks and Parker Kirkpatrick combined on a no-hitter, and Lawrence High baseball defeated Olathe South, 2-0, on Thursday night.

Montes de Oca (1-0) struck out five and walked two in three innings. Lowery then pitched the fourth and fifth innings, Sinks the sixth and Kirkpatrick the seventh.

The Lions did all their scoring with two outs in the second. Easton Barnes drove home Ryan Walter with a triple, and Kirkpatrick singled home Barnes.

“The difference was we were really good on the mound,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said. “Bryce, it was good to see him throw a ton of strikes. Then the next three kids came in and threw a ton of strikes. And we played some good defense behind them.”

The Lions (6-3) will host Shawnee Mission East on Monday.
