Leavenworth ? Emily Bermel went 4-for-4 in each game, and Free State High’s softball team swept Leavenworth in a doubleheader Thursday, 11-5 and 26-0.

The Firebirds collected 21 hits in both games. Kylee Cobb went 5-for-5 in the opener, and Meredith Morris and Emily Byers each drove in five runs in the nightcap.

Free State (3-3) will be on the road Tuesday to face Shawnee Mission North.
