Topeka ? Thomas Irick went 3-0 in No. 1 singles, and Elliott Abromeit was 2-1 in No. 2 singles to lead Lawrence High’s boys tennis team Wednesday in a quadrangular at Topeka Seaman.

The Lions defeated Topeka West, 3-1, tied Topeka Seaman, 2-2, and fell to Washburn Rural, 3-1.

Sam Allen and Jonathon Kinder notched a victory for the Lions at No. 2 doubles.

“I was very pleased with our singles play,” LHS coach Chris Marshall said.

Next action for the Lions will be Tuesday at Free State.
