Lake Quivira ? Free State High’s Matt Siler and Jack Flynn shot matching 78s, but Siler edged his teammate in the scorecard playoff to take sixth, relegating Flynn to seventh at the Shawnee Mission Northwest Golf Invitational on Monday at Lake Quivira Country Club.

Free State shot 332 as a team to place fourth overall.

Lawrence High — paced by 24th-place finishes by Narito Mendez and Cole Brungardt at 84 — placed eighth with 348.

The meet also served as the first round of the Sunflower League Championship.

In league-only standings, FSHS is in third place and LHS sixth.

Siler and Flynn are tied for fourth in the league, and Mendez and Brungardt are tied for 17th.
