The Lions scored four runs in the first two frames to give starting pitcher Daonte Lowery a big lead.

“To score eight runs in the first couple innings is going to win you a lot of games,” LHS coach Brad Stoll said.

Parker Kirkpatrick, Michael Sinks and Drew Green had three RBIs apiece. Lowery limited the Mustangs to three hits and struck out six.

LHS (4-1) will play Tuesday at Olathe Northwest.
