Man flown to KU Hospital with critical injuries

A man was taken by LifeStar helicopter to the University of Kansas Hospital early Saturday.

Emergency crews were called to an address in the 100 block of Pinehaven Court before 3 a.m. for a traumatic injury.

A 27-year-old man reportedly put his arm through a plate glass window. The man sustained several lacerations to his arm and was said to be in critical condition.

The helicopter landed at the Lawrence Fire training center at 1941 Haskell Avenue.

Initial reports indicate the man had been drinking.
