Distance runner breaks KU track record

— Kansas University’s Natalie Becker ran the fastest 5,000-meter race in KU history on Friday at the Stanford Track and Field Invitational.

The St. Louis (Mo.) native crossed the finish line in 16:20.80, three seconds faster than the previous KU record, held by All-American Lauren Bonds.
