A portion of Douglas County Route 458 near Clinton Lake will be closed starting Tuesday morning, Oct. 1, for a culvert replacement project.

The road will be closed between North 1156 Road and North 1200 Road. A signed detour will guide traffic around the closure following North 1150 Road, which runs across the top of the Clinton Lake dam, and East 902 Road below the dam near Eagle Bend golf course.

County officials say Route 458 is scheduled to reopen by 5 p.m. Oct. 4, weather permitting.
